- Partnering with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams on demand forecasting.
- Performing analysis on demand trends and look for any seasonal changes.
- Conducting market research and gathering market intelligence as needed.
- Maintaining working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain components including forecasting, inventory management, promotional planning, item lifecycle and disposition, store ordering and operations, supplier planning and order fulfillment.
What your background should look like
Demand Planning:
Responsible for developing accurate short- and mid-term demand forecasts and supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures alignment between market demand, operational constraints, and inventory strategy, while continuously improving demand planning processes to support business objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree completed
- Advanced English proficiency
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, demand analysis, or related planning roles
- Proven experience in client relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
Day in the Life:
The role is responsible for managing assigned product lines on a day-to-day basis. Core activities include working within SAP and IBP systems, reviewing and maintaining demand forecasts, and managing daily planning priorities. The role involves frequent collaboration with Sales and Management teams to achieve monthly demand consensus through Demand Review and S&OP discussions. Forecast adjustments are made at the part-number level using internal analytics such as statistical forecasting, backlog, overdue demand, and other market signals. The position is highly self-directed and analytics-driven, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain short- and mid-term demand forecasts using historical data, seasonality, customer behavior, and market trends.
- Support monthly Demand Review and S&OP cycles by consolidating inputs, explaining forecast drivers, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and variance; analyze deviations and drive corrective actions.
- Integrate operational assumptions such as production sequencing, inventory positioning, lead times, and project timing into demand plans.
- Provide demand insights to support inventory strategy, safety stock decisions, and service-level risk mitigation.
- Analyze demand-related issues such as excess inventory, obsolescence, service gaps, and late deliveries, partnering cross-functionally on solutions.
- Perform advanced demand analytics and scenario analysis to support proactive decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across demand planning systems and tools.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical profile
- Engineering background or related degree
- Advanced English proficiency
- Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning or demand analysis
Required Knowledge:
- Power BI
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree completed (Engineering preferred)
- Candidates with a completed Bachelor’s degree in other relevant fields may also be considered
Certifications / Licenses:
- APICS certification (preferred)
- Planning-related certifications
