Data Engineer (Google Cloud)

Collaborating daily with backend, frontend, and CSM teams to align data requirements, timelines, and delivery.

What you’ll bring

Education in computer science / software engineering / data engineering (HTL, university of applied sciences, university) or equivalent practical experience.

First hands‑on experience (e.g., 1–2 years, internships, or strong project work) in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering.

Solid fundamentals in SQL (querying, joins, data modeling basics) and Python (scripting, data processing, debugging).

Exposure to Google Cloud and cloud concepts (IAM basics, storage, batch/stream processing)—or strong motivation and ability to learn quickly.

A structured approach to problem solving and an interest in data quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

Comfortable working in an Agile environment with changing priorities and iterative delivery.

Team‑first mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a willingness to ask questions, learn, and improve.

Good English skills, both spoken and written, to communicate with international colleagues and customers.

Nice to have

Experience with Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow (DAGs, scheduling, retries, backfills).

Experience with Dataflow / Apache Beam concepts (batch/stream, windowing, transforms).

Familiarity with Spanner data modeling or distributed database concepts.

Basic understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, and testing practices for data pipelines.
