About The Role

As the Data Engineer Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s data capability. Leading a small, high‑performing team, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing management and evolution of the data warehouse and integration pipelines, ensuring reliable, high‑quality data is available to support business decision‑making.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will balance people management, technical oversight and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work closely with leaders across Revenue, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Business Operations and the wider Data team to understand requirements, prioritise work and deliver data solutions that create real business value.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of data engineers
  • Overseeing BAU operations and project delivery across data engineering initiatives
  • Maintaining and optimising the data warehouse and integration pipelines
  • Acting as a key contact point between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Translating business requirements into clear, actionable technical outcomes
  • Contributing to data strategy, continuous improvement and modernisation initiatives
  • Ensuring best practices, performance optimisation and data quality standards are upheld

Based at Journey Beyond’s Head Office on North Terrace, Adelaide, this role offers the opportunity to influence how data is used across the organisation while building a strong, future‑focused data engineering function.
