Sitting within a high-performing Data & AI squad, you’ll play a key role in building scalable, cloud-based data solutions that power real business outcomes. • Contribute to the design and development of AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications

  • Implement best practices across data modelling, quality, governance, and architecture

  • Develop data pipelines supporting GenAI use cases (e.g. embeddings, vector data, LLM outputs)

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful, production-ready solutions

Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer in a cloud environment, ideally within Microsoft Azure

  • Strong hands-on capability with Databricks, Spark (PySpark) and SQL

  • Proven ability to design and optimise data pipelines and data models

  • Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and testing practices within data environments

  • Exposure to AI/LLM-based solutions or advanced analytics use cases is highly regarded

  • Familiarity with Azure services (e.g. Data Factory, DevOps) and an interest in MLOps/LLMOps

What’s in it for you?

Smart team members enjoy a range of benefits designed to support flexibility, wellbeing, reward, and growth:

  • Smart Leave, an additional week of leave each year
