We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Snowflake to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Support Engineer to join the Data Apps team, responsible for operational support and reliability of Snowflake-based data platforms. The role focuses on ingestion and transformation pipeline support, DBT production operations, and incident triage and resolution in a regulated / financial services environment.
The role requires hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms, ensuring data pipelines operate reliably, incidents are resolved efficiently, and recurring issues are identified and addressed through structured problem management.

Key Responsibilities
Provide operational support for Snowflake-based data platforms in production environments
Monitor DBT job executions (DBT Cloud / DBT Core) and overall platform health
Investigate and resolve DBT job failures, including model execution and dependency issues
Execute controlled re-runs of failed DBT jobs in line with agreed operational procedures
Support backfill and reprocessing activities as directed
Identify recurring failure patterns, perform analysis, and raise problem records
Triage incidents related to: Data ingestion failures (Fivetran / HVR) & DBT job failures and dependency issues
Perform root cause analysis across ingestion and transformation layers, including:Upstream ingestion impacts, Transformation and orchestration failures
Provide operational support for Fivetran SaaS and HVR ingestion pipelines, including schema changes and load failures
Coordinate incident escalation:
To Engineering teams for DBT model or code-level fixes
To Data Governance teams for data quality rule or definition issues
Operate in alignment with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards
Work within regulated / financial services environments, adhering to audit, change, and control processes
Collaborate with DBA teams for access-related dependencies while ownership remains with the DBA function

Mandatory Skills
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms in production
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including platform operations and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of data ingestion patterns, especially raw / bronze layer design
Proven experience with Fivetran SaaS and HVR ingestion tools
Hands-on experience supporting DBT production workloads (DBT Cloud or DBT Core)
Strong knowledge of enterprise data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Experience operating in regulated / financial services environments
Experience with incident, problem, and root cause analysis in data platforms
Understanding of data lineage, dependency management, and impact analysis
Strong SQL skills with exposure to performance tuning in Snowflake
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting for data pipelines
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-team coordination skills
