Data Engineer

For this role within the systems tower of P&E controllership, you will be responsible for building data warehouses, reporting pipelines, automation tools and complex visualizations to support the accounting and reporting for the P&E product area.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the accounting and finance teams, understand their data needs and build plans to address with scalable and accurate data solutions.
• Maintain highest levels of development practices including: technical design; solution development; systems configuration; test documentation/execution; issue identification and resolution; writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code.
• Ensure the integrity of data under the purview of the projects, including establishing security procedures to protect and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and data security.
• Create and maintain well structured documentation and requirement and testing documentation.

What will help you succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting / Information Systems Management / Engineering, Computer Science
• Experience in SQL, Python, and/or a similar Object Oriented programming language
• Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
• Experience specifically in Finance or accounting domain
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and terminology, financial budgeting and planning business processes, cost and revenue allocations
• Understanding of statistical tools such as R programming to conduct trend/variance analysis
• Data Engineering or Data Architecture experience
