About our group:

The Operations Quality & Analytics organization helps to protect and improve Seagate’s Total Customer Experience. Develop, deploy, and sustain End-to-End Quality Analytics and Processes to provide trusted, actionable information that enable earlier detection and prevention of HDD issue. Operations Quality Analytics Tool & System Development Team supports OQ&A function teams in both data analytics and tool/system development.

About the role - you will:

•    Serve as a strategic interface between manufacturing operations and software engineering teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into robust and scalable digital solutions
•    Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and operational goals
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and other quality assurance teams to develop the quality systems and processes seamlessly across departments
•    leverage advanced analytics and AI/ML concepts (e.g., anomaly detection, trend analysis, predictive signals) to shift teams from detect & react to detect, predict, and prevent
•    Develop, maintain, and update quality procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency

About you:

•    Adaptability: willingness to learn, adapt to changing requirements, and stay current with new technological developments
•    Reliable: Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams, and able to fulfill responsibilities and obligations within a timely manner
•    Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting system issues
•    English proficiency: can communicate well in both speaking and writing

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, and/or related field
•    Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
•    Basic Programming Skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python preferred)
•    Database Knowledge and basic data management concepts.
•    AI/ML and data mining knowledge
•    Experience with CRM system: Salesforce, SAP
•    Data Processing, Familiarity with ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load)
•    Big Data Tools. A basic understanding of tools like Hadoop or Spark can be advantageous
•    Unix Fundamentals
