The Day Camp Coordinator (DCC) provides administrative leadership for day camp counselors and campers and ensures that Day Camp runs safely. The DCC must lead drop off and pick up each day (including sign-in and out sheets), be present for each Round-Up in which Day Camp participates, and float during cabin activities to assist overnight staff with the needs of Day Campers. Develop and coordinate day camp activities during cabin time, lunch, siesta, etc. Set goals with day camp counselors and foster teamwork to achieve goals. Facilitate staff meetings to share ideas, delegate tasks, and ensure clear communication within the unit. Responsible for ensuring that all unit members are accounted for during scheduled unit times. Provide regular feedback to the Day Camp Counselors and senior administrative staff. Participate in the general planning of the camp program. Assist with all camp program activities and other camp-wide activities as assigned. Interpret safety and health regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training events as scheduled. DCC is also responsible for administrative duties, including cabin assignments, parent communications, recording daily Choice/Challenge sign-ups, and photocopying schedules and rosters each week.
