In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

 

Mission:  

 

Your main mission as a Design Engineer is to provide support to manufacturing and customers in case of non-conformities, within a development team working closely with the Production Department.  

 

Responsabilities:  

 

  • Handle non-conformities occurring during product manufacturing;

  • Perform root cause analysis;

  • Identify and implement corrective actions;

  • Design integrated structural assemblies for space or aeronautical applications;

  • Validate the structural integrity of parts;

  • Take on a varied role combining design office activities (design & industrialisation) and production (machining, assembly, inspection);

  • Assume a responsible position requiring autonomy – a vital link in the proper functioning of serial production;

  • Draft technical specifications (components, tests, etc., as needed).

 

You are responsible for:  

 

  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;

  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;

  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support;

  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules;

  • Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents.

 

Profile:  

 

Education / Experience:  

 

  • Education: You hold a Master’s degree in industrial engineering, preferably in mechanical or electromechanical fields.

 

  • Desired experience:  You have 1 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.

 

Skills:

  • You have a team spirit and good rapport with the shop floor;

  • You are organised and committed to your work;

  • You show initiative and a strong sense of responsibility;

  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy teamwork;

  • You are analytical and solution-oriented;

  • You are quality- and results-driven with a proactive attitude;

  • You are willing to travel occasionally within Europe.

  • Technical:

  • Knowledge of strength of materials, structural analysis and calculations;

  • Understanding of production and manufacturing methods;

  • Basic knowledge of composite materials.

 

  • Languages:   You are fluent in English, French and/or Dutch.

 

  • IT skills: Experience with CAD software (e.g. CATIA V5) is an advantage.
