Job Description for Design Engineer (Mechanical)

The person will work at Agiliad’s location and participate in various Mechanical Design and other related activities. The role also involves coordinating activities with the offshore Manufacturing vendors, communication with customers, coordination with internal (Embedded & HW) teams, reviewing deliverables and status reporting.

Following activities are expected to be performed by the person performing this role:

• CAD modelling and drafting, and other CAD related projects.
• Concept development and Mechanical Design.
• Creating Manufacturing Drawings and BOM.
• Drawing reviews and updates from DFM and DFA.
• Ensuring successful integration of mechanical design elements into the overall system.
• Communicating with suppliers and vendors, for procurement and manufacturing of electromechanical enclosure.

Qualifications/ Must have Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Onshape & SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tool.
• Experience in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tool.
• Hands on experience of working on sheet metal and structural design.
• Proficiency with MS Office and other office productivity tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (clarity and articulation) and presentation skills.
• Experience of working in a cross functional team environment.

Good to have Experience:

• Knowledge of DFM/DFA requirements
• Basic Knowledge and know how to GD&T system.
• Familiarity with PLM tools.
• Exposure to Quality standards
