We are looking for a Digital Laboratory Solutions Manager who is collaborative, innovative, and results-driven to join our CMC Development Digital Sciences team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.

 

About the role

 

As a Digital Laboratory Solutions Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating UCB’s digital transformation across laboratory environments. You will lead the deployment, evolution, and continuous improvement of digital laboratory solutions that support laboratory data generation, processing, and documentation. Acting as both a product owner and project manager, you will partner with scientific, laboratory, and digital teams to deliver impactful solutions that enhance efficiency, data quality, and innovation across CMC Development Sciences.

 

Who you will work with

 

You will work closely with scientists, laboratory teams, IT, Quality Assurance, validation experts, and external partners. Reporting to the Digital Laboratory Data Lead, you will collaborate across CMC Development Sciences and partner functions including Early Solutions, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs. Together, you will shape the future of digital laboratory capabilities and strengthen UCB’s data-driven ways of working.

 

What you will do

 

  • You will identify laboratory challenges and uncover opportunities for digital solutions with scientific stakeholders.
  • You will translate business needs into strategic projects, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You will lead end-to-end delivery of digital laboratory solutions from design through deployment and validation.
  • You will act as business owner, ensuring solutions remain aligned with laboratory needs and standards.
  • You will coordinate support, training, user feedback, and continuous improvement activities.
  • You will monitor industry trends and promote innovative technologies that create business value.

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, digital, technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing or coordinating digital solutions or technology initiatives.
  • Experience with digital laboratory solutions, laboratory data management, and documentation workflows.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to drive change, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results in complex environments.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations and scientific processes; laboratory experience is an advantage.
