Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is actively hiring a Director of Supply Chain Management Enablement & Governance. Reporting to the Vice President, Technical Services & Supply Chain, the Director’s role provides strategic leadership to enable a responsive, trusted supply chain function that delivers sustainable value through strong governance, risk management, supplier partnerships, and the development of high‑performing teams grounded in transparency and continuous improvement.

 

The Director, SCM Enablement sets the strategy, governance, and operating model that enables Supply Chain Management teams to operate efficiently, consistently, and at scale. The role leads process design, tools, reporting, and change enablement to ensure SCM teams are equipped to deliver business priorities while continuously improving how work is done.

 

This position partners closely with SCM leadership, Operations, IT/Digital, Finance, and Enterprise Enablement to translate strategy into practical, well‑adopted ways of working. The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of supply chain expertise, transformation leadership, and enterprise mindset, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Champion Pembina’s safety culture of Zero by Choice and the Life Saving Rules, ensuring all activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining audit readiness;
  • Define and execute the SCM Enablement strategy, aligned with enterprise and SCM objectives, including clear priorities and a phased roadmap that balances near‑term delivery with long‑term capability building;
  • Lead the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of SCM processes, governance, and ways of working, including clarity of roles, decision rights, and handoffs across teams;
  • Partner with IT/Digital to enable effective selection, implementation, adoption, and optimization of SCM tools and systems, supported by consistent reporting, dashboards, and performance insights;
  • Drive simplification, automation, and elimination of low‑value work while promoting data quality, process discipline, and standard tool adoption;
  • Lead change management and adoption for new processes, tools, and operating model enhancements, ensuring strategy is translated into practical, well‑embedded ways of working;
  • Build, develop, and lead high‑performing teams by role‑modelling inclusive leadership, fostering psychological safety, accountability, and a strong learning mindset;
  • Act as a trusted advisor and connector across SCM leadership, Operations, Finance, HR, IT/Digital, and Enterprise Enablement to align enablement, capacity, and capability needs; and
  • Advance equity, diversity, and inclusion by embedding inclusive practices in hiring, talent development, decision‑making, and day‑to‑day leadership, creating an environment where employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline, combined with 10+ years of progressive experience across supply chain, operations, enablement, or transformation environments;
  • Demonstrated success leading complex process, system, and operating model change, including influencing outcomes in matrixed and cross‑functional organizations;
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain value streams, governance, and performance management;
  • Proven people leader who builds high‑performing, inclusive teams, develops talent, and leads with accountability and psychological safety;
  • Enterprise‑focused leader who drives clarity, simplicity, and continuous improvement, and embraces change with a strong learner mindset; and
  • Credible communicator with an enterprise mindset who influences senior leaders and brings clarity and accountability to complex initiatives.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
