Director, Development and Project Management - Solar PV & BESS

ESR is seeking an experienced Development Director to lead site prospecting and land acquisition for both Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Japan. This high-impact role drives full lifecycle development of large-scale renewable energy projects — including PV+BESS hybrid configurations — from site identification through land contract execution, permitting, grid interconnection, and financial close.  ESRは、太陽光発電（PV）および蓄電池システム（BESS）の両分野において、用地開拓・土地取得を主軸としたインフラ開発マネージャーを募集しています。本ポジションは、PV＋BESSの複合開発（ハイブリッド構成）を含む大規模再生可能エネルギープロジェクトの全ライフサイクル開発を牽引し、候補地の発掘から土地契約締結、許認可取得、系統連系、そしてファイナンシャルクローズまでを統括します。

Key Responsibilities 

1. Site Prospecting & Land Acquisition （用地開拓・土地取得） • Conduct feasibility studies to identify and evaluate candidate sites for BESS and Solar PV development.  • Lead due diligence on shortlisted sites.  • Approach and negotiate with landowners to secure land lease agreements and purchase-and-sale agreements (PSA) for development sites.

• Plan and manage the development pipeline (BESS, PV, and PV+BESS hybrid), tracking progress from site identification through contract execution.  • フィジビリティスタディを行い、BESS・太陽光PV（以下PV）の開発候補地を特定・評価する。 • 候補地のデューデリジェンスを主導する。 • 地権者へのアプローチおよび交渉を主導し、土地賃貸借契約や売買契約を締結し、開発用地を確立する。 • 開発パイプライン（BESS・PV・PV＋BESS複合）を立案し、候補地の発掘から契約締結まで進捗を管理する。

2. Solar PV & BESS Project Development and Project Management  　（PVおよびBESSプロジェクト開発およびプロジェクトマネジメント） • Lead large-scale renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, and PV+BESS hybrid) from concept stage through financial close.  • Manage technical specifications of project systems.  • Evaluate solar energy yield simulations and reflect findings in financial models.  • Coordinate technical specifications, procurement strategy, and RFP preparation with EPC contractors and equipment vendors.  • Manage grid interconnection applications and other permitting processes.  • Support financial modelling for Investment Committee submissions.  • Execute project management during construction, overseeing quality, safety, schedule, and cost controls.  • PV・BESS・PV＋BESS複合を含む大規模再生可能エネルギープロジェクト（以下プロジェクト）の開発を、構想段階からファイナンシャルクローズまで主導する。 • プロジェクトのシステムの技術仕様を管理する。 • 太陽光エネルギー発電量シミュレーションを評価し財務モデルに反映する。 • EPC業者・機器ベンダーとの技術仕様調整・調達戦略・RFP策定を担う。 • 系統連系申請などの許認可を管理する。 • 投資委員会向けに、プロジェクトの財務モデリングを支援する。 • 建設時におけるプロジェクトマネジメントを実施し、品質・安全・進捗・コストの管理を行う。

3. EV Fast-Charging Project Development and Project Management （EV用急速充電器プロジェクトの組成およびプロジェクトマネジメント） • Lead EV fast-charging projects from concept stage through financial close.  • Manage technical specifications of project systems.  • Reflect project economics in financial models.  • Coordinate technical specifications, procurement strategy, and RFP preparation with EPC contractors and equipment vendors.  • Support financial modelling for Investment Committee submissions.  • Execute project management during construction, overseeing quality, safety, schedule, and cost controls.  • EV用急速準電気プロジェクト（以下プロジェクト）の開発を、構想段階からファイナンシャルクローズまで主導する。 • プロジェクトのシステムの技術仕様を管理する。 • 財務モデルに反映する。 • EPC業者・機器ベンダーとの技術仕様調整・調達戦略・RFP策定を担う。 • 投資委員会向けに、プロジェクトの財務モデリングを支援する。 • 建設時におけるプロジェクトマネジメントを実施し、品質・安全・進捗・コストの管理を行う。

4. Cross-functional & Other Responsibilities （クロスファンクショナル及びその他の役割） • Collaborate closely with logistics facility development and data centre development teams, given the strong synergies across these workstreams.  • Liaise with the Singapore Infrastructure Development team, Finance, and Legal at each development milestone to ensure seamless handover.  • Proactively drive cross-functional improvements and capability-building initiatives within the team.  • 上記の業務は、物流施設開発業務、データセンター開発業務と密接に関連している。関係するチームと連携する。 • シンガポールのインフラストラクチャー開発チーム、財務・法務チームとも連携し、各開発マイルストーンでの円滑な業務移管を実現する。 • 上記に対する改善、チーム力アップのための横断的な機能を主体的に行う。 • 上記に限らず、関連する業務に積極的に取り組む。
