About Regatta  We are a team of veteran entrepreneurs and software engineers. We have been working together in the field of data management for 20+ years. During that period, we have gained a track record of building successful enterprises that have created outstanding value for team members, investors, and customers. Regatta develops, from scratch, a high-end mission-critical, extreme performance, distributed transactional and analytical database that brings simplicity alongside powerful features. The Role  Regatta is looking for a Documentation Manager to own our technical documentation and how it gets planned, produced, and delivered. This role is less about being a prolific writer and more about managing the documentation system end-to-end—from gathering inputs from highly technical engineers to publishing clear, timely content on our documentation site.   You’ll work closely with our engineers and customers to ensure our docs are accurate, current, and scalable as the product evolves. A key part of this role is using AI tools effectively to accelerate documentation workflows without sacrificing quality or correctness.   Responsibilities • Own the documentation lifecycle: intake, prioritization, production, review, and publication

• Partner with deeply technical stakeholders (computer scientists, database engineers, systems architects) to extract and structure information

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation outlines, reference material, and workflows

• Design and continuously improve documentation processes, standards, and layouts.

• Manage and maintain our docs site, including content and the platform

• Leverage AI tools (LLMs, doc automation, content generation, summarization, review aids) to speed delivery and reduce manual effort

• Ensure documentation stays aligned with product releases and engineering changes

• Manage updates to our documentation site (structure, navigation, versioning, and publishing cadence)

• Own communication strategy and publication of regular product changelog updates

• Act as the “single owner” for documentation quality, completeness, and timeliness

• Assume end-to-end accountability for quality of documentation, completeness and timeliness across the product lifecycles

What This Is Not • Not a role for someone who primarily wants to be a writer

• Not a marketing or copywriting position

• Not a junior editorial role—this position requires confidence working with highly technical teams
