In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

Mission:

 

Your main mission as Draftsman is to design and produce tooling or part/assembly drawings based on specifications, part drawings, or requirements expressed by the design office, industrialization team, or production department.

 

You will manage the realization of tooling from design through to production. This includes close collaboration with production, methods, and procurement departments to optimize tooling manufacturing and ensure customer satisfaction (quality, ergonomics, deadlines…).

 

Responsabilities:

 

Design tooling in 3D and produce 2D drawings using CAD software, based on the needs of an internal or external client, or the concept defined by a Design Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer

  • Develop the technical design, as well as associated documentation and structured management, following applicable procedures
  • Manage various customer requirements (technical, budget, schedule) and align work accordingly
  • Follow instructions and explanations (what and how) to monitor the progress and results of assigned tasks
  • Ensure end-to-end follow-up of manufacturing until delivery and validation by the client and production
  • If design and/or manufacturing is outsourced, coordinate follow-up with the procurement department (draft specifications, consult, technically manage the supplier, receive and make the tooling available)
  • In addition to tooling, design parts and assemblies, as well as the production configuration of aviation parts and associated documents (industrialization models, technical specifications, industrial change notices
  • Upload technical documents (drawings, manuals…) to the document management system

 

You are also responsible for:

 

  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard

  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work

  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support

  • Managing confidential data and situations

  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules

  • Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents

 

Profile:

 

Education / Experience:

 

  • Education: You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical design.

 

 

 

  • Desired experience:

 

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design
  • You possess significant professional experience in this type of role
  • Experience in aerostructures or actuators is a plus

 

Skills:

 

  • Soft Skills:

 

  • You are rigorous and precis
  • You have strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • You enjoy teamwork and collaborating with different departments
  • You are flexible and willing to travel short distances within Europe

 

  • Technical:

 

  • You have in-depth knowledge of general mechanics
  • You are able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • You have good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes

 

  • Languages: You speak English and French or Dutch.

 

  • IT skills:

 

  • You have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • You are proficient in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CADD (Computer-Aided Drafting) software
  • You are proficient in CATIA V5 – module for 3D parts and assemblies design, as well as 2D drawing (drafting)
