Job Overview

Responsible for leading the development of high-speed cable assembly products for data communication applications. This role involves collaborating closely with customers, sales, FAE, and project managers to capture clear Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements and translate them into innovative engineering solutions. The engineer will maintain a system-level understanding of customer applications and cable design concepts to deliver products that meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.

Job Requirements

Responsible for internal high-speed cable assembly product development, which are used for data communication.
Work closely with customer/sales/FAE/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer),make engineering evaluation/proposal to customer.
Maintain a system level understanding of customer application and the cable design/concept
necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation.
Follow LEANPD Project Process to support project team from design perspective to complete
Project on time, quality, and budget. Drive the development and release of product, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.
Technical support to customer, sales, PM, plant. Conduct necessary test, engineering analysis.
Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality, and cost objectives

What your background should look like

· Bachelor degree required and Master is preferred
· Capable of using Design Software (For Example: Pro/E, CREO, AutoCAD. etc.)
· Familiar with MS office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc),
· Knowledge in manufacturing process including machining, molding, stamping, plating, cable, etc. · Connector or cable assembly design or manufacturing engineering background
· Good knowledge in material (metal/plastic) properties and selection
· Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D…) will be a plus
· Knowledge for datacenter application will be a plus.
· 3 years or above related experience.
· Good English skill in reading and writing, workable oral English is plus.
