We are looking for an EU Regulatory Strategy Team Lead who is strategic, collaborative and people-centred to join our Global Regulatory Affairs team, based in our HQ in Brussels, Belgium.

 

About the role
You will shape EU regulatory strategy for assigned products across development, registration and lifecycle management. You will bring EU regulatory science into global decision-making, help teams choose clear regulatory pathways and support timely patient access. You will also act as a trusted EU regulatory voice for complex questions, ensuring strategies are scientifically sound, practical and aligned with business priorities.

 

Who you will work with
You will join Global Regulatory Affairs, reporting to the Head of EU Regulatory Affairs and work closely with Global Regulatory Leads and cross-functional partners . You will lead and develop a team of EU regulatory professionals, creating an environment where colleagues can collaborate, grow and deliver consistent, high-quality regulatory outcomes. You will also oversee interactions with EU health authorities, ensuring they are clear, effective and scientifically grounded.

 

What you will do

  • You will define and guide EU regulatory strategies that support global objectives and product needs across the full lifecycle.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring EU perspectives are integrated into global plans, decisions and governance discussions.
  • You will support effective health authority engagement by reviewing approaches, coaching colleagues and contributing to complex interactions.
  • You will manage and develop a team of EU regulatory professionals, helping colleagues build capability, confidence and clarity.
  • You will identify regulatory risks and opportunities early, align stakeholders on options and support clear escalation when needed.
  • You will improve ways of working by promoting standards, regulatory intelligence, resource planning and continuous improvement across the team.

 

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience and skills:

  • You have an advanced scientific degree, such as a Master’s, PhD, MD or equivalent experience.
  • You bring 10+ years of Regulatory Affairs experience in pharmaceutical or biotech settings, with deep EU regulatory knowledge.
  • You have defined and delivered regulatory strategies across development, registration and lifecycle management.
  • You understand EU health authority expectations and know how to prepare clear, evidence-based regulatory positions.
  • You can build alignment with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners in international, matrixed environments.
  • You have led, coached or developed regulatory colleagues and are curious about digital and AI-enabled approaches in regulatory science.
