External Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Employee Involvement
- Conduct safety induction for new employees and continuous training programs.
- Organize emergency mock drills.
- Attend safety meetings and ensure closure of safety points.
- Communicate safety arrangements via displays, signs, magazines, literature, and annual reports.
- Participate in safety goal setting, improvement projects, suggestion schemes, and promotional activities.
2. Safety Audits & Inspections
- Perform daily safety inspections and share observation reports.
- Oversee statutory inspections of lifting tools, tackles, and pressure vessels.
- Ensure compliance with ESS and GRC portals.
- Participate in audits and implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analysis.
- Monitor contractor safety performance with reward/penalty systems.
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment.
3. Safety & Fire Control Systems
- Ensure proper functioning of safety guards, interlocks, tools, and equipment.
- Enforce work permit systems and isolation procedures.
- Control hazardous substances and maintain PPE stock.
- Monitor workplace noise, ventilation, and dust.
- Inspect electrical installations and assess fire risks.
- Maintain firefighting equipment.
4. Safety Performance & Measurement
- Report and investigate all incidents/near misses.
- Maintain incident trend analysis and manage potential loss areas.
5. Workplace Safety

Ensure hygiene standards and implement 5S practices at the workplace.
