Location: Finland – Vantaa | 💼 Full-time | hybrid role

What you’ll do:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for defining, designing, and implementing testing capabilities for new medium voltage (MV) UPS products. The role ensures that test systems, infrastructure, and procedures are ready to support product development, validation, certification, and production ramp-up in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
This role works closely with R&D, product engineering, test laboratories, production, quality, and external partners.

 

Test Capability Development
- Define test requirements and test strategies for new medium voltage products based on product specifications, standards, and customer needs
- Design and implement electrical test systems, including:

  • MV power supplies and sources
  • Load banks, protection systems, and measurement equipment
  • Control, interlocking, and safety systems

 

Test Infrastructure & Safety
- Ensure test setups comply with applicable MV standards, safety regulations, and internal guidelines
- Perform risk assessments (electrical safety, arc flash, operational risks) and implement mitigation measures
- Support commissioning, validation, and safe operation of MV test environments

 

Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with R&D and product engineering to translate product requirements into test solutions
- Support type testing, validation testing, and certification activities
- Coordinate with external test labs, suppliers, and certification authorities when required

 

Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain test documentation, including:

  • Test specifications and procedures
  • Electrical schematics and layouts
  • Commissioning and validation reports

 

Other

  • Specify and support procurement of test equipment and infrastructure
  • Continuously improve test setups for efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Support troubleshooting of test system issues during development and production phases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of suitable experience

Skills:

  • Solid experience with medium voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
