Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Eaton India Innovation Center is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead development and delivery of the Firware for  Powertarin products.  We are looking for motivated professionals with strong experience in driving software product development in embedded automotive application and possess good communication skills. They will play a key role for growing automotive embedded software capabilities based on the AUTOSAR/NON-AUTOSAR SW Platforms on Transmission, Power Electronics, Power Distribution & Protection and Power Systems Products for CV/PV Vehicles. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. 
Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn and develop new techniques and development processes. We are looking for candidates who are able to see the bigger picture, strength in embedded SDLC 
•    Responsible for developing the technical and organizational talent to drive the objectives for infrastructure and intellectual capability building for Powertrain products by using relevant organizational processes (Talent acquisition, performance management, Organizational and Technical capability assessment framework)
•    Retain/hire/Mentor Technical Talents 
•    Collaborates closely with global and local teams to efficiently develop and implement growth strategies and technical roadmaps for proactively influencing and providing solutions.
•    Efficiently applies the organizational processes to achieve the objectives and outcomes. Continuously look for opportunities to improve the processes by applying DFSS, LEAN and DMAIC principles.
•    Participate in Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Retrospectives.  

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering or Masters in equivalent.
  • 15+ years of overall experience including 5+ years of experience in managing SW teams in relevant expertise.
  • 7+ years of hands-on expertise in Embedded Software development for automotive ECU Development.

Skills:

•    Strong People management Skills with proven record of leading a large team and meeting the Global Stakeholders' expectation. Passion for people profiling and career guidance of employees with diverse skill set.
•    Experience in programming in C, embedded system concepts, AUTOSAR Concepts and Microcontrollers .
•    Experience in designing and modelling  systems using simulation tool like MATLAB/Simulink, stateflow and  PSPICE.
•    Experience in HiL and Test infrastructure for dSPACE, NI (VeriStand, LabVIEW), ETAS, and Vector VT Systems:
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Problem solving skills, Working in ambiguity, process management
•    Familiar with AUTOSAR BSW and RTE, architecture, specifications, and configuration tools
•    Good Knowledge of automotive software engineering process models (ASPICE, ISO26262, Agile)
•    Good knowledge of GitHub, JIRA and Agile/SAFe methodologies 
•    Strong stakeholder orientation, willingness to meet deadlines, and self-management skills.
•    Passion for solving problems to resolution, good root cause analysis skill.
•    Ability to work and collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
•    Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
•     Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
