Job Title: Executive Producer - Fiction, Regional

Location: Chennai

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Fiction Programming professional to drive the development, execution, and performance of Tamil fiction content. The role will focus on managing shows end-to-end—from concept to telecast—while ensuring strong audience connect, ratings performance, and alignment with the channel/OTT content strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and commission compelling Tamil fiction content aligned with the channel’s programming strategy
• Work closely with production houses, writers, and creative teams to shape concepts, scripts, and story arcs
• Oversee ongoing shows—track story progression, ensure quality, and maintain narrative consistency
• Monitor TRPs / digital performance and derive insights to optimize content
• Provide creative feedback on scripts, episodes, and edits to enhance audience engagement
• Ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with marketing and scheduling teams for effective show launches and promotions
• Stay updated on competitor content, audience trends, and evolving viewing habits in the Tamil market

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media, or related field
• 4–8 years of experience in fiction programming/content roles (TV, OTT, or production houses)
• Strong understanding of Tamil GEC/OTT landscape and audience preferences
• Experience in managing fiction shows end-to-end is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong storytelling sense with a programming mindset
• Ability to analyze content performance (TRPs, digital metrics) and translate insights into action
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Strong creative judgment with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple shows simultaneously

Good to Have

• Experience in launching new fiction shows
• Familiarity with regional content consumption trends and formats
• Existing network within Tamil production ecosystem

Key Success Metrics (KRAs)

• Performance of shows (TRPs / digital viewership)
• Successful launch of new fiction properties
• Consistency in content quality and delivery timelines
• Strength of relationships with production partners
