Job Summary

Holy Rosary School is seeking a caring, dependable, and responsible Extended Care Aide for the 2026–2027 school year. The Extended Care Aide helps provide a safe, welcoming, and supervised environment for students participating in the school’s before and after school care program. This position supports the mission of Catholic education by fostering a positive atmosphere rooted in Christian values, respect, and compassion.

The Extended Care Aide supervises students during before and/or after school hours, assists with daily activities and routines, maintains a structured environment, and ensures the safety and well-being of all children in the program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates strong classroom management skills, and communicates effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Before Care Hours

  • 6:15 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.

After Care Hours

  • 2:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Candidates may apply for before care, after care, or both shifts depending on availability and program needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive supervision of students in the extended care program
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of all children at all times
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and faith-filled environment consistent with Catholic values
  • Lead and assist with age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, homework time, and quiet activities
  • Maintain accurate attendance and monitor student sign-in/sign-out procedures
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with parents, school staff, and administration
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe care environment
  • Address minor behavioral concerns appropriately and report ongoing issues to supervisors
  • Follow all school safety procedures, emergency protocols, and diocesan policies
  • Assist with snack distribution and cleanup as needed
  • Provide support during indoor and outdoor activities and transitions

Job Requirements

  • Experience caring for or supervising children required
  • Strong management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a structured and positive environment for students
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work cooperatively with school staff and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must complete required background checks and Safe Environment training in accordance with diocesan policies
