To strengthen our External Manufacturing department, we are looking for a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of: External Manufacturing Process Operations Excellence Lead based in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role :
As External Manufacturing Process Operations Lead, you will play a key role in supporting successful product launches and regulatory inspections across a global external manufacturing network. You will partner with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to strengthen inspection readiness, manage compliance risks, and drive continuous improvement. Your work will help ensure a reliable, compliant, and efficient supply network while supporting the introduction of new products and manufacturing changes.
Who you’ll work with :
You will be working in a team that collaborates closely with colleagues across Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, and external manufacturing partners. Together, you will support inspection readiness, launch excellence, compliance management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the external manufacturing network.
What you’ll do :
- Lead inspection and launch readiness activities across external manufacturing partners.
- Assess compliance and inspection risks and implement mitigation plans to strengthen readiness.
- Coordinate activities supporting regulatory submissions, inspections, and successful product launches.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify risks early and ensure timely action plans.
- Drive continuous improvement of governance, readiness, and operational processes.
- Maintain training frameworks and support capability development across the External Manufacturing team.
Interested ? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, pharmaceutical, or related discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, compliance, or external manufacturing environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective partnerships internally and externally.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken French & English.
