Service Area: Family Proceedings Advisory Service

    

Salary Grade/Band: EGIV or EGV

   

Salary Range: £58,444 - £61,707 or £63,404 - £66,950

   

Working Arrangements: Full Time

    

The States of Guernsey are seeking to recruit a Family Proceedings Adviser to join their team within the Family Proceedings Advisory Service.

The Family Proceedings Advisory Service was set up as a result of the implementation of The Children (Guernsey and Alderney) Law 2008.

 

The post holder will be required to represent the interests of children and young people in public and private family court proceedings and in the Child, Youth and Community Tribunal. The Service also provides a mediation service for parties involved in family court proceedings.

Job Description

 

This role comes with a competitive salary, progressive annual leave and entitlement to a pension scheme. 

  

For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector. There are also good schools on Island for those candidates looking to bring their families with them.
