Your role in our team
As our new Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Terma´s Security product range, including Critical Infrastructure Protection or other Security-related areas. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues, customers, and global partners to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and support of both hardware and software solutions. You will combine hands-on technical work with troubleshooting, system configuration, and customer interaction in an international environment.
You will be involved in pre-FAT activities, on-site installation and commissioning, as well as remote and on-site troubleshooting of our solutions. In this role, you will work with technologies such as Linux, Docker, server configuration, networking, routing, switches, and certificate handling through SQL scripts.
You will become part of a highly collaborative team consisting of approximately 20 colleagues in Denmark and 8 colleagues working from our regional offices globally. In this role, you will travel worldwide approximately 80–100 days per year, typically in periods of 1–2 weeks at a time and occasionally up to 3–4 weeks.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:

- On-site installation of our hardware and software
- Remote and on-site troubleshooting of our hardware and software
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

We do not require a specific educational background or level of experience, but candidates with an IT or technical background within areas such as Computer Science, IT Technology, Data Technician, Electronics Technician, System Administration, Cyber Security, or similar fields are preferred.

An IT background combined with technical or skilled experience is preferred

Understanding of IT, electronical and mechanical application

Experience or knowledge within the following areas
- Software
- Network setup and configuration including sub-net, routing and switches
- Linux
- Set-up and configuration of servers
- Docker
- Certificate handling: Updates, implementation and adaptation via SQL-scripts

As a person, you are comfortable working closely with customers and colleagues across different cultures and global environments. You thrive in a role with extensive travel and enjoy building strong professional relationships through face-to-face collaboration.
You are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to combine hands-on installation work with system commissioning, fine-tuning via PC, and administrative tasks. You are also a team-oriented person who is comfortable traveling and working closely with the same colleague for extended periods of time.
