We are seeking a passionate Finance Analyst to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will combine hands-on financial control with process improvement and digital development, helping create smarter and more scalable ways of working across our global Finance organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining the Financial Controlling team within Finance Operations, consisting of five other colleagues covering Inventory, Production Economy, Standard Cost, Payroll, Warrants, RSU controlling, Transfer Pricing and other areas. You will report directly to Ketil Sverdrup, Senior Director, Finance Operations, and will be based at our headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Own and coordinate balance sheet reconciliations across multiple legal entities, and support Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, PO accruals and related stakeholder communication.
  • Participate in month-end closing, SOX controls and IFRS-related accounting activities, promoting accurate, transparent and consistent finance reporting and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate finance processes, and drive process documentation and governance through Finance’s Process House.
  • Participate in system optimization and implementation projects and cross-team initiatives, including the Impero month-end close tool.
  • Use systems, data and technology to improve quality, efficiency and user experience, build scalable workflows and support adoption of new digital tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree within Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field, and have approximately 2-6 years of experience within finance operations, accounting, auditing, controlling or a similar area.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Comfort with financial data and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft D365 Finance is an advantage, and strong Microsoft Office skills are also valued.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles. IFRS knowledge is an advantage.
  • Effective English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Finance, IT and the business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • A genuine interest in digitalization, automation and continuous improvement.
