About the role

We’re seeking a high impact Finance Manager – Innovation on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (with view for permanency) based in either Sydney or Melbourne to help shape our global innovation agenda and partner side-by-side with our Global Innovation Director.

Embedded across the innovation lifecycle, you’ll deliver commercial insight, challenge assumptions, guide investment decisions and help turn bold ideas into value creating launches across brands and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the end‑to‑end financial owner of the global innovation portfolio, owning the Innovation Shadow P&L
• Partner closely with the Global Innovation Director and cross‑functional teams to shape investment decisions from concept to post‑launch
• Lead financial and volumetric modelling across the full Stage Gate process (G1–G5), including size‑of‑prize and scenario analysis
• Assess profitability, value creation, risk and cannibalisation across the innovation pipeline
• Own innovation budgeting, rolling forecasts and portfolio trade‑offs, ensuring disciplined assumptions
• Provide clear, actionable performance insight versus Stage Gate expectations, Budget and Latest Estimate
• Support OPEX and CAPEX investment governance, translating complex analysis into decision‑ready recommendations
• Proactively identify opportunities to unlock additional value by embedding deeply in innovation activity

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline (essential)
• 4–5+ years’ experience in commercial finance, business partnering, FP&A or innovation finance
• FMCG, beverages or multinational experience highly regarded
• Strong financial modelling capability, including volumetric modelling and investment appraisal
• Deep understanding of P&Ls, pricing mechanics, cannibalisation and portfolio trade‑offs
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority
