Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Financial Close & Reporting 

    • Prepare, review and finalize monthly financial statements
    • Manage month-end close per corporate calendar
    • Submit reporting packages and supporting schedules
    • Perform reconciliations and GL activities
    • Provide variance analysis and KPIs
    • Prepare workpapers and ad hoc analysis
  • Compliance & Controls

    • Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies, SOX, US GAAP
    • Support internal/external audits
    • Maintain internal controls and documentation
    • Coordinate statutory filings and reporting
    • Support balance sheet and P&L reviews
  • Accounting Operations 

    • Oversee general ledger and accounting systems
    • Ensure inventory costing and accuracy
    • Perform and review accounting transactions
    • Support treasury cash flow forecasting
    • Work with local consultants
  • Process & Systems 

    • Drive process improvements
    • Optimize ERP/reporting tools
    • Support ERP implementations
    • Establish accounting processes
  • Business Partnering 

    • Provide financial insights
    • Support decision-making
    • Analyze costs and performance
    • Support CapEx planning
    • Deliver metrics to leadership
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

    • Timely and accurate close
    • Compliance with SOX/audits
    • Accuracy of reporting
    • Control effectiveness
    • Process improvements

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role, including experience leading teams
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and HGB
  • Experience with financial close and reporting processes
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and audit requirements
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
  • Full professional proficiency in English and German

 

Preffered Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA
  • Cost accounting experience
  • ERP experience (SAP/Dynamics)
  • Experience with OneStream or similar financial consolidation and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with B7 or other local ERP systems is a plus
  • Process improvement experience
  • Experience in a similar industry is an advantage
