Who are we looking for? We are looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to support the financial governance and business operations of our client’s Enterprise AI function. In this embedded role, you will be based at the client’s office and work closely with their teams on a day-to-day basis, while remaining an MTC employee. This is a role for someone who brings precision, accountability, and strong stakeholder management skills to ensure budgets are tracked, protected, and communicated effectively across the organisation.
Employment Conditions: • Employment Type : 6-month fixed-term contract. No probationary period. (Renewable based on work performance and workload) • Salary : ¥5,000,000 – ¥7,000,000 annually. Determined based on experience, skills, and other factors in accordance with company regulations. • Allowance : Commuting Allowance • Working Hours : 9:00 – 18:00 (1-hour break) • Overtime : Not required • Holidays : Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese public holidays • ※ Annual paid leave and special leave also provided • Remote Work : 1 – 2 days a week • Work Location : Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower, 3-2-1 Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, JAPAN (Office location may change within Greater Tokyo Area; relocation is not required.) • Insurance : Employment insurance, health insurance, employees' pension insurance, workers' accident compensation insurance • Smoking Policy : No smoking indoors in principle • This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in Japan. Relocation support and visa sponsorship will not be provided.
On a given day, an Financial Operations Analyst will: • Track project expenses against approved budgets, maintaining accurate financial records using Excel or Google Sheets. • Conduct monthly variance analysis, identifying key drivers and flagging risks or potential overspends to stakeholders. • Prepare and deliver clear budget summaries and updates to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis. • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather budget inputs and ensure financial data is captured accurately and on time. • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on budget matters. • Participate in project meetings to stay informed on ongoing initiatives and represent the business operations perspective. • Support broader business operations activities to ensure smooth day-to-day execution within the EAI function.
