Freight Forwarder Projects

For our Projects Team in Antwerp, we are looking for an experienced International Freight Forwarder who combines hands-on operational expertise (export) with a commercial and pricing mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you manage end-to-end ocean freight shipments while actively contributing to commercial activities and customer solutions. You are comfortable switching between operational execution, customer interaction and pricing discussions, and you adapt easily in a fast-changing, project-driven environment.

• Manage end-to-end ocean freight shipments (export) from order intake to final delivery
• Validate customer orders, quotations and SOPs and register shipments accurately in the TMS
• Plan, book and optimize transport execution considering routing, cost, transit time and constraints
• Coordinate with shipping lines, carriers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Prepare, check and manage all required transport and commercial documentation
• Proactively monitor shipments, identify deviations and implement solutions
• Support commercial activities and pricing, including quotations for project and complex shipments
• Advise customers on logistics solutions and operational feasibility
• Ensure correct cost postings, internal invoicing and external customer invoicing
• Maintain complete and accurate shipment files and reporting
• Contribute to process improvements, supplier performance and team collaboration

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are an adaptable logistics professional who feels at home in a dynamic environment and enjoys combining operational excellence with commercial thinking. Your profile:

• Several years of relevant experience in Export Ocean Freight Operations
• Experience in a commercial and/or pricing role is essential for this position
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Solution-oriented mindset with critical thinking skills
• Clear, confident and professional communication style
• Able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and customer needs
• Bachelor level working and thinking ability or equivalent experience
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook) and experience with TMS systems (e.g. CargoWise)
