Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive French-speaking Accountant/Bookkeeper with a strong background in the hospitality industry, cost control, and experience using Xero accounting software. The ideal candidate will have excellent accounting skills, be fluent in French, and possess a deep understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, financial processes, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets. • Help the Finance Manager meet the month-end deliverables and reports. • Monitor and control costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions. • Encodes data to Xero on a daily basis. • Process accounts payable, payroll, and manage expense reports. • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing. • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures. • Provide financial support and guidance to other departments as needed. • Utilize Xero accounting software for all financial tasks and reporting. • Communicate effectively with clients and team members in both French and English.
