Our Team, Your Impact
The Global SC Data Management – Serialization & Logistics Lead ensures high-quality and compliant master data across Serialization and Logistics domains by combining data stewardship, governance, and domain-specific expertise.
The role safeguards data integrity and operational readiness by covering:
- Serialization data governance (e.g. traceability, aggregation, regulatory requirements)
- Logistics master data governance (e.g. warehousing, transportation, distribution)
In addition to core MDM responsibilities, the role contributes to serialization-related compliance and operational processes beyond classical data stewardship, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and cross-functional stakeholders.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
Data Governance & Stewardship
- Define data catalogue, data standards and health checks for the Serialization & Logistics Supply Chain data domains
- Organize, prepare, and host regular data forum meetings
- Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify inconsistencies, gaps, or errors
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of master data records in alignment with governance policies and business rules
- Lead data cleansing initiatives and coordinate corrective actions with Data Authors and business teams
- Serve as the escalation point for data-related issues and ensure timely resolution
- Drive data innovation and optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data supports operational, reporting, and analytical needs
- Ensure alignment with the global governance model and support data readiness for projects, initiatives, and system implementations
Serialization Domain Responsibilities (beyond core MDM scope)
- Act as central coordination point for serialization-related topics within Supply Chain Data Management, ensuring alignment across Regulatory Affairs, Quality, IT, and business teams
- Support preparation and alignment for regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring availability and consistency of serialization-relevant master data
- Contribute to deviation handling and issue resolution processes related to serialization data in collaboration with relevant functions
- Ensure data readiness and consistency for market-specific serialization requirements and go-live activities
- Maintain alignment with external frameworks and organizations (e.g. EMVO) where relevant for serialization data processes
- Provide domain expertise on serialization processes and data dependencies, supporting decision-making and operational stability
Leadership & Capability Build-up
- Lead Serialization & Logistics data governance and management activities in a cross-functional setup
- Support progressive capability build-up, ensuring sustainable coverage of domain-specific expertise over time
- Contribute to structuring and scaling the domain setup, balancing governance, operational support, and specialized requirements
Your Skills and Experience
- University degree or equivalent education, preferably in a scientific, technical, or business discipline.
- Strong understanding of master data standards, governance principles, and business rules.
- Experience with enterprise data systems (e.g., ERP, MDM platforms), preferably including exposure to Serialization solutions and supply chain execution systems
- Excellent analytical skills for data validation, reporting, and mass data changes.
- Solid understanding of Serialization requirements (e.g. traceability, aggregation, regulatory context) and their impact on master data
- Strong knowledge of Logistics / Supply Chain execution processes (e.g. warehousing, transportation, distribution) and related data dependencies
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and change management capabilities.
- Ability to lead topics end-to-end, manage escalations, and drive outcomes across cross-functional stakeholders, including coordination with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, IT, and external stakeholders where applicable
- Experience working in regulated environments with serialization-related processes (e.g., audits, inspections, deviation handling, regulatory reporting), and understanding of operational and compliance dependencies beyond core data management activities
- Experience in setting up or evolving data-related capabilities in a global environment
