The team you will be a part of
The Government Affairs team analyzes and evaluates the impact of government policies and regulations on the organization's activities and objectives. It develops and maintains policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues affecting the company. The team ensures that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative processes and in the development of market rules and procedures.
This role in summary
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Government Relations Manager to navigate a complex and evolving policy landscape. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business strategy and public policy, driving consistent results with agility, flexibility, and a composed approach to challenging priorities.
Your responsibilities will include
- Lead the stakeholders management and engagement on the BR Federal Administration level;
- Manage the public policy monitoring and prioritization, aligning the policy agenda with the corporate goals and priorities;
- Anticipate risks and opportunities and act as a bridge between the external policy environment and the business areas to increase awareness, generate insights and frame the company’s position;
- Lead and develop a talented team, leveraging on regional (LATAM) structure and talent to deliver strong and sustainable results;
- Support special projects and initiatives;
- Inform the organization regarding the political landscape and its impacts to the short-mid-long term business objectives;
- Build and manage GR strategy and action plans to ensure timely and effective execution.
Minimum requirements
- Major degree in Law, International Relations and Economy;
- ENG and SPANISH are desirable. Portuguese mandatory;
- Google Suit /Microsoft Office package - Powerpoint, Word and Excel intermediate user skills.
Preferred skills and experiences
- Post-graduation;
- Policy Experience: Proven track record in Government Relations within multinational companies, particularly within Brazil’s manufacturing or consumer goods sectors;
- Strategic Advocacy: Experience in successfully developing and executing advocacy strategies that align government policy outcomes with long-term business objectives;
- Stakeholder Relations: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong networks within government bodies, trade associations, and chambers of commerce in Brazil;
- Crisis & Issues Management: Strong analytical skills with experience in issue mapping and proactively managing political or regulatory risks that could impact business continuity;
- Leadership & Collaboration: Experience working within matrix organizations (LATAM/Global structure), with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
