What is the Graduate Development Program (GDP)?

The GDP is a two-year rotational program designed to launch your career and accelerate your development within UCB.

Across two 12-month rotations, you will contribute to impactful projects at the intersection of Medical Communities, digital innovation, and capability building, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how global Medical Affairs creates value for patients while advancing digital-enabled health solutions.

Throughout the program, you will rotate across Medical Capabilities Excellence and Medical Digital & Analytics Solutions teams within Medical Communities.

You will work on global initiatives such as capability frameworks, career pathways, and digital learning solutions, while supporting country-level digital strategies, tool adoption, and data-driven decision making. You will collaborate with global and local stakeholders, gain exposure to international Medical Affairs ways of working, and be supported through structured coaching from your manager, mentorship, and a buddy, while actively engaging with UCB’s Early Talent community through networking and learning experiences.

You will build future-ready skills in project coordination, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking, alongside strong capabilities in digital tools, data analytics, and visualization. The program will deepen your understanding of Medical Affairs, including capability development, digital transformation, and global collaboration, equipping you with the expertise and confidence to pursue either a specialized or more generalist career path in a fast-evolving, data-driven healthcare environment.

As part of UCB’s Early Talent community, you’ll also connect with peers through workshops, site visits, and networking events that enrich your learning and broaden your perspective.

What you need to join – Mandatory requirements

To fully participate and grow in the program, you must have:

• A recent degree in life sciences, pharmacy, engineering, or a related field
• Early-career status, typically with no more than two years of professional experience
• Fluency in English
• Legal right to work in Belgium
