HR Officer – Data Entry & Payroll Support

About the Team
The People & Culture team provides HR and payroll support across the organisation, ensuring employees are accurately onboarded, maintained and supported throughout their employment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, maintaining accurate records, supporting payroll processes and providing administrative assistance in a busy team environment.
This position is available on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.8 EFT with flexible days and hours) until the end of 2026, providing backfill for team members undertaking higher duties.
About the Role
As the HR Officer – Data Entry & Payroll Support, you will play an important role in maintaining the accuracy of employee records and supporting payroll administration. You will be responsible for ensuring employee information is entered and maintained accurately, assisting with payroll processing activities and providing administrative support across the People & Culture function.
This is a detail-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys working with systems, data accuracy and process administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, maintain and update employee records within HR and payroll systems.
- Support payroll processing activities, including employee deductions, terminations and payroll administration tasks.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation and employee files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist with reporting, audits and reconciliation of employee information.
- Provide administrative support across the People & Culture team as required.
- Support continuous improvement of HR administration and payroll processes.
- Provide backup support to other team members during periods of leave or increased workload.
About You
You are highly organised, enjoy working with data and systems, and take pride in producing accurate work. You have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, data entry, HR administration or a similar administrative role.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering and maintaining data.
- Strong computer skills and confidence working across multiple systems.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
Desirable
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, Payroll or a related discipline.
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors or Kronos.
- Experience working within a healthcare or large organisation.
