Job Summary

As a Principal Architect – Integration & Automation, you will serve as the senior technical authority for IBM Integration, API Management, Messaging, and Automation solutions within GBM’s IBM Business Unit. Your purpose is to influence enterprise integration strategies across key UAE accounts and embed IBM’s Integration & Automation portfolio into customer reference architectures.

You will act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and Enterprise Architects, shaping modernization roadmaps, API strategies, event-driven architectures, and workflow automation blueprints across hybrid cloud environments.

This role combines architecture leadership, complex deal shaping, and internal capability uplift to ensure GBM leads with IBM Integration & Automation offerings in strategic transformation programs.

 

Job Description

  • Lead enterprise integration and automation architecture engagements.
  • Define API-first, microservices, and event-driven modernization strategies.
  • Shape complex integration and automation deals from technical discovery to closure.
  • Develop solution blueprints, HLD/LLD artifacts, and sizing documentation.
  • Position IBM Integration Suite, API Connect, MQ, Event Streams, and Business Automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with IBM and Red Hat technical teams for co-sell and joint GTM initiatives.
  • Deliver technical enablement sessions and build reusable reference architectures.
  • Support competitive positioning against MuleSoft, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft integration platforms.

Skill

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of enterprise IT experience.
  • 7+ years in Integration, Middleware, or Automation architecture roles.
  • Experience in UAE enterprise market preferred.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise integration patterns (API-led, ESB, microservices, event-driven).
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and container platforms (OpenShift preferred).
  • Experience leading complex enterprise technical sales cycles.
  • Ability to engage effectively at CxO and Enterprise Architect levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen and disciplined opportunity management.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Integration Suite, API Connect, MQ, and Event Streams.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized middleware deployments.
  • Knowledge of Business Automation Workflow and RPA.
