We are looking for an IT Compliance Lead who is detail-oriented and collaborative to join us in our Digital Technology team, based in our Braine l'Alleud office in Belgium.

 

About the role

In this role, you will lead compliance and validation activities across key patient-focused digital technology domains. You will ensure that systems and processes meet regulatory expectations while supporting innovation, including the adoption of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation. You will work closely with business and technology teams to embed quality and compliance into the full system lifecycle, enabling efficient and scalable solutions. Your work will help ensure that digital initiatives are compliant, effective, and aligned with evolving regulatory standards.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a team that partners closely with experts in patient safety, medical, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and clinical functions, as well as digital technology colleagues. You will collaborate with stakeholders across projects and system support teams, ensuring alignment on compliance practices and validation strategies. The team is international and multidisciplinary, focused on delivering high-quality, compliant digital solutions that support patient outcomes and business needs.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead validation and compliance activities across digital technology systems, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectations throughout the system lifecycle
  • Define and implement compliance processes and strategies, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach across projects and operational support activities
  • Provide guidance and quality oversight for systems, including reviews, audits, and support during inspections, ensuring timely follow-up actions
  • Drive continuous improvement of validation processes by introducing automation, standardization, and enhanced visibility of compliance practices
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, data integrity, and compliance approaches
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into practical, efficient, and scalable compliance solutions

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in information technology, life sciences, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on digital technology quality and compliance activities
  • Experience supporting patient safety or pharmacovigilance systems and processes in regulated environments is highly desirable
  • Solid experience in computer system validation, audit support, and system lifecycle management
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and cloud-based solutions, in regulated environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable solutions
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Fluent in English. French is a plus
