Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji is set on a 109-acre private island with a causeway connecting it to the mainland making it the largest Resort in Fiji with 443 elegant guest rooms. We are looking for applicants for the the position of ITALIAN SOUS CHEF

 

The successful candidate will lead the culinary team of the Goldren Cowrie Italian Restaurant which features Italian dishes prepared in the traditional manner with a modern twist. He / She will be responsible for new menus and special promotions, training and development of staff, budgeting & cost control together with managing the day-to-day culinary operations of the restaurant.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years’ work experience in the position of Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in an Italian restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of  Italian cuisine.
  • Conversant in English.
  • A strong team player who is committed to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience.
