Join New Zealand Police and become a part of our high-performing Media and Communications team responsible for delivering trusted, timely and effective communications across one of New Zealand’s largest and most visible organisations.

In this role, you will contribute to high quality, consistent visual communication across our Police channels. You will support brand integrity and partner closely with our internal customers to deliver effective design outcomes.

As a Graphic Designer, you will bring ideas to life through engaging visual content that informs, educates and connects with diverse audiences across Aotearoa. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will design a range of digital and print materials, collaborate with communications professionals and stakeholders, and help ensure our messaging is clear, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to use your creativity and technical expertise to make a meaningful contribution to New Zealand Police and the communities we serve.

Key Accountabilities:

Create high-quality visual content across digital, print and multimedia channels.
Ensure all design outputs align with New Zealand Police brand standards and guidelines.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop creative solutions that meet communication objectives.
Manage multiple design projects, delivering high-quality work to agreed timeframes.

Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements

A tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related discipline
Demonstratable experience in graphic design, visual communication or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated capability

This role is based in the Wellington area at our national headquarters. Some travel may be required

Utu ā-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $88,179 and $101,804 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
