Role Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated AI Agent Engineering Intern to design and build interactive AI agents that can connect, reason over, and act on multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
You will work on practical AI agent prototypes that combine LLMs, tools, APIs, and internal datasets to support decision‑making, exploration, and automation use cases.
This role is ideal for someone interested in applied AI, autonomous agents, and human‑AI interaction, with strong hands‑on curiosity.
Main Tasks
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and prototype AI agents with interactive capabilities (chat, workflows, decision support).
-
Integrate multiple data sources such as:
- APIs (internal & external)
- Databases (SQL / NoSQL)
- Documents (PDFs, slides, wikis)
- Spreadsheets and dashboards
-
Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and data connectors.
-
Build agent logic for:
- Tool calling and orchestration
- Multi‑step reasoning and task execution
- Memory and context management
-
Collaborate with product, data, and business teams to translate real‑world problems into AI agent workflows.
-
Evaluate agent performance and iterate on usability, accuracy, and reliability.
-
Document architectures, prompts, and design decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related field.
-
Strong programming skills in Python (required).
-
Basic understanding of:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Prompt engineering
- APIs and JSON
-
Experience with at least one of the following:
- LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen (or similar agent frameworks)
- Vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma)
- Data processing with Pandas or similar
-
Comfortable working with imperfect data and ambiguous problems.
Nice‑to‑Have
-
Experience building chatbots or conversational interfaces.
-
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
-
Understanding of:
- Knowledge graphs
- Agent planning (ReAct, tool‑use, multi‑agent systems)
- Front‑end frameworks (Streamlit, React, or similar)
-
Prior internship, project, or hackathon experience in AI/ML.
What You’ll Learn
- How to design production‑oriented AI agents, not just demos.
- Practical techniques for connecting LLMs to enterprise data.
- Trade‑offs between autonomy, control, accuracy, and user trust in AI systems.
- End‑to‑end AI system thinking: from data → reasoning → action → feedback.
What We Offer
- Hands‑on ownership of real AI agent use cases.
- Mentorship from experienced AI and product leaders.
- Exposure to cutting‑edge applied AI in a business context.
- Opportunity to convert to a full‑time role (performance‑based).
Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing a Degree or Masters in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Intermediate knowledge in Power BI and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with SharePoint integration and data management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
