Job Accountabilities
- Conduct financial analysis of companies, industries, and market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks. This can include researching themes and sector trends, comparable companies, market dynamics and drivers to derive insights
- Prepare investment presentations, and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to keyholders.
- Collect, maintain and update all documents (legal documents, portfolio company updates, etc) and portfolio information to identify any shifts in risk exposure and take appropriate actions to manage risk levels within portfolio
- Assist across all stages of the investment cycle, from performing due diligence and reporting to evaluate risks associated with potential investments
- Assist in the creation of valuation models for investment opportunities, sensitivity analysis to address risks and production of differentiated scenarios to test IRRs and returns
- Assist in gathering research and analysis for deal primers and investment memos for new and existing opportunities to assess the attractiveness of potential investments
- Contribute to creating all IMs from initial memos all the way up to follow-on memos to ensure rationale behind investment recommendations or actions taken
- Support in preparing in-depth and robust models from scratch for each analyzed opportunity to ensure accurate predictions and insights for decision making
- Coordinate with the finance and operations team regarding portfolio management and deal execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or in Finance and Economics
- CFA level 1 or any equivalent qualification is a plus
- 1-2 years in Investment banking or private advisory or corporate credit
Skills:
- Proficient in conducting market research and data analysis to derive actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Strong analytical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving
- Basic proficiency in building and analyzing financial and business models using commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting and corporate valuation principles, while being data-driven
