Schedule: 9 Days On and 5 Days Off; 12 hours/day

Jardeg is recruiting an Ironworker Journeyperson to join the Integrated Constructors project team at the Cenovus Refinery in Lloydminster, AB. The shift rotation is on days to work 9 days on and 5 days off, 12 hours/day with overtime included.

 

An Ironworker Journeyperson at the focused on building, maintaining, and repairing steel infrastructure inside an industrial plant. It’s hands-on, physical work tied heavily to maintenance shutdowns and construction projects.

 

Preference will be given to those who are local to Lloydminster area. Living Out Allowance and Travel Allowance available to those who qualify.

 

As an Ironworker Journeyperson your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • They erect structural steel components, install conveyors and robotic equipment, and sometimes perform reconstructive work on existing structures.
  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures
  • Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan work layout

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Structural Ironworker Journeyperson Canadian certification
  • Ability to read blueprints and use tools/equipment
  • Strong knowledge of rigging, welding basics, and structural assembly
  • H2S Alive
  • Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
