Sagitec Solutions is looking to fill a Junior Cloud Engineering position in our IT, Cloud, and Security Services (ITCS) division.  This position will facilitate our cloud computing needs, including infrastructure design, automation, build, maintenance, support, and planning. We are looking for candidates with the ability to work independently and are highly functioning in team environments.

As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will gain valuable experience as a key contributor, delivering enterprise level client systems. There will be heavy focus on deploying cloud infrastructure facilitating enterprise level client systems. Not only can you help us connect the dots and participate in the evolution of our cloud capabilities, but you’re also evolving your own capabilities as an engineer and keeping an eye on developments that can support service enhancements.  All team resources are focused on high quality deliverables and ensuring value for our clients.

Jr. Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:

• Work in a supporting role to deploy cloud infrastructure facilitating enterprise level client systems
• Work with our security services team to implement remediations as a part of our vulnerability management program
• Participate in our patch management activities
• Perform on-call support activities on a regular rotation
• Implement automation and configuration management tools
• Assume multiple roles of IT professional, communicator, and business liaison
• Implement hybrid IT by integrating different cloud services with back-end, traditional data center services
• Migrate legacy applications to public cloud service in a rehosting approach
• Deploying services according to IT best practices for security, governance, identity access management, and monitoring
• Work in tandem with our dev teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
• Participate in planning, designing, and developing cloud-based applications
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems
• Participate in division process improvement initiatives
• Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel
• Support co-location data center operations, including on-site support

Jr. Cloud Engineer Requirements:

• Education: High School
• Role Experience: 0-to-3-years' experience
• Industry Certifications: Azure (AZ-900, AZ 104) and/or AWS (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner)
• Familiarity with VM’s, blob storage, VNet, Active Directory/Entra ID, firewalls
• Basic knowledge of EC2, S3, VPC, IAM
• Understanding of scripting, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Collaboration and teamwork
• interpersonal skills
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
