About the roleAs a Junior Frontend Engineer, you'll play an essential role in supporting the development and maintenance of our web applications. In this role, you’ll work alongside designers, backend engineers, and senior developers to bring intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces to life. You’ll primarily focus on implementing basic UI changes, bug fixes, and new features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with a React base. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience, enhance your frontend development skills, and expose you to best practices in code quality, problem-solving, and collaboration in a team environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work with and learn from senior team members as you grow in your technical capabilities and professional experience. This position is based in Girona, Spain, and reports to our Senior Product Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesFeature Development & Enhancement • Build and maintain new features, working closely with Senior Developers to understand requirements and ensure quality. • Implement and test reusable components and contribute to codebase maintenance.
Code Quality & Best Practices • Adhere to coding standards, performing self-reviews and debugging issues independently. • Participate in code reviews to gain feedback and improve coding practices.
Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with designers and backend developers to understand UX/UI requirements and API interactions. • Communicate effectively with team members to understand and clarify project requirements.
Problem-Solving & Learning • Solve straightforward technical challenges and progressively work on moderately complex tasks. • Actively seek feedback and use it to improve, aiming for increasing autonomy in problem-solving.
Continuous Improvement • Stay updated with evolving frontend technologies, especially within the project stack. • Seek growth opportunities by learning new tools, methodologies, and best practices from senior team members.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing • Document own work, ensuring project consistency and providing clear references for future work. • Contribute to team knowledge by sharing findings, asking questions, and participating in team discussions.
