We are looking for a motivated and safety-conscious Junior HSE Specialist to join our team in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. This position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to develop their expertise in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) while contributing to a strong safety culture within a dynamic operational environment.

 ⚠️ Special Note

All positions based in the South of Algeria are managed via the ANEM process. Candidates must have a valid ANEM subscription and submit their application through the ANEM agencies of Ouargla or Touggourt wilayas.

The Junior HSE Specialist will support local management and operational teams in implementing HSE programs, monitoring compliance, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Support & Compliance

• Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assist line management in maintaining compliance with company HSE requirements and local regulations.
• Participate in workplace inspections and safety observations.
• Support the monitoring of HSE performance indicators and objectives.

Risk Assessment & Prevention

• Assist in identifying workplace hazards and assessing operational risks.
• Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote safe work practices and encourage proactive hazard reporting.

Training & Awareness

• Participate in HSE inductions and training programs for employees and contractors.
• Support safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives.
• Help maintain a high level of HSE awareness across the workforce.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain and update HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist in preparing HSE statistics, presentations, and performance reports.
• Ensure HSE procedures, work instructions, and relevant documentation are available and up to date.

Incident Management

• Support investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Assist in identifying root causes and tracking corrective actions.
• Monitor follow-up activities to ensure timely closure of recommendations.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in HSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Support the implementation of audit findings and improvement initiatives.
• Assist in reviewing HSE data and identifying trends that can enhance safety performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with operations, supervisors, contractors, and support functions to promote HSE best practices.
• Assist in coordinating HSE activities with contractors and external stakeholders when required.
