The Opportunity

We're seeking a strategic sales professional with proven government sector experience to lead high-value tender processes and build lasting relationships with State and Local Government decision-makers across Victoria.

This role focuses on complex, long-cycle government sales in the waste and resource recovery sector. You'll drive revenue growth while delivering genuine environmental impact for communities.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting Victorian State and Local Government sectors
  • Lead major government tender and RFP processes, delivering competitive submissions
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government decision-makers
  • Manage key accounts and negotiate high-value, multi-year contracts
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure commercial viability
  • Drive revenue growth through new business and cross-selling opportunities

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • 5+ years B2G (Business to Government) sales experience
  • Proven track record in government tender/RFP processes
  • Demonstrated key account management with government clients
  • Strong knowledge of waste management industry and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with government procurement frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce desirable)
