Job Summary

The Preschool Aide at St. Lucy Parish provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Supports children’s emotional, social, and educational development through structured activities, play, and positive guidance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including play, crafts, music, and early learning exercises
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and general hygiene
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment
  • Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions

 

Qualifications

  • Childcare experience preferred (daycare, preschool, babysitting)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children

 

Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor childcare setting
  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and active engagement throughout the day
  • Fast-paced, energetic environment with varying daily needs
