Service Area: Operational Support Services - Catering Department Health and Social Care

    

Salary Grade: PSE Grade A

   

Salary Range: £14.1968 per hour

   

Working Arrangements: Part Time

 

Part time: 15 or 12.5 hours per week Mon-Thurs from 2pm till 5pm based at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. 

 

About the Role:

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the Catering Team based at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

The post holder will share the responsibilities of washing pots, pans, utensils and dishes, general cleaning throughout the departments, e.g. equipment and structural. The job requires the use of pot/dish wash machines floor scrubbing, pressure washer equipment etc. Other duties will include the delivery of patient “food trolleys” to and from the wards, supplying meals, deliveries of various sorts, to all service areas. Further responsibilities can include working in the packing chiller, delivering ward stores and assisting with basic food preparation.

Job Description

This role comes with a competitive salary, progressive annual leave and entitlement to a pension scheme. 

 

Enhanced pay rates are paid for wok undertaken within unsocial hours. 

 

While no experience is required for the role, previous kitchen experience would be beneficial.
