We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team!

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and move kitchen supplies and ingredients to designated storage areas in a timely manner
  • Conduct quality control checks on all incoming food deliveries to ensure items meet freshness, quantity, and quality standards
  • Properly pack, label, and store ingredients in storerooms, refrigerators, and freezers according to storage guidelines
  • Ensure correct stock rotation practices (e.g. FIFO) to minimise wastage and maintain food safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, storerooms, and refrigeration units
  • Use and store cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in accordance with safety procedures
  • Adhere strictly to hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards at all times
  • Carry out any other duties or tasks assigned by the kitchen management team as required

 

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in a kitchen is an advantage but not required
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
  • Able to follow instructions and safety procedures
