Lab Technician

Job Overview Engineering Lab Technician responsible for supporting lab operations, maintaining equipment, assisting in experiments, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and materials engineering. • Support engineers and researchers in conducting experiments, tests, and analyses. This includes preparing samples, setting up experiments, monitoring processes, and recording data. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs and calibrations as needed. • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized lab environment. • Monitor and manage lab supplies and inventory. Order and restock materials and equipment as necessary. • Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other lab technicians to support ongoing projects and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. • Provide guidance and training to new lab personnel and interns. Supervise and assist with their tasks to ensure adherence to lab protocols.
